"Rrrring!" is dedicated to anyone who ever answered phones for a living. It is my revenge on Alex G. Bell's screaming invention from h**l. Tech. support people, this one's for you! I won't bother to desribe it except to say that it's perhaps the first example of animation therapy.
This module was written by me for the second Berkeley Systems After Dark module competition. Since I've been officially notified that I did not win, I'm free to upload it online. On the bright side, I was also told that it was in the top 10 out of 150 entries in the contest.
All the graphics and sounds for this module were created by me for this module. The pictures were created with Pixel Paint Pro and then dithered to 8-bit and the sounds were created with SoundEdit/Macrecorder and a "Miracle" keyboard (except for the phone sound, which is my old home phone).
Caviats:
- Inits/Cdevs which change the System color table (such as "DeskPicture" with the "use color table" option checked) screw up the colors in "Rrrring!".
- This module is not compatible with "Multimodule". However, it IS compatible with "Randomizer".
- If you run this module with the sound turned on, you may have to be transferred to a nice padded office.
- The author of this software assumes no responsibility for its use or misuse, as the case may be. It is provided as-was.
